Mrs. Brenda Sue Brown, age 70, of Douglasville went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home with her beloved husband and sister by her side.

Mrs. Brown was born on January 9, 1951 in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Charles & Velma Johnson. Mrs. Brown worked as a social worker for Serv Behavior Systems, doing what she loved doing, which was loving and caring for the people with mental disabilities. She and her beloved husband, Rev. King Brown eventually moved to Douglasville, Georgia where she continued to be a very special friend to everyone. She loved caring for all people especially the mentally disabled and the homeless, often cooking meals to feed the homeless and raising funds to continue her endeavors. Among her many loves in life, she enjoyed music, riding motorcycles and being with her many friends and family members.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Rev. King Brown. Her cat "Cookie". Preceded in death two brothers Thomas and Michael Broadnax. She leaves to morne two sisters; Levata Johnson-Jordan on NY, NY and Mildred A. Kimbrough Plainfield, NJ, one sister-in-law Jeanette Broadnax Dallas, GA, brothers-in-law; Jimmy Brown, Sr., Arthur Brown and Rex Brown, 7 nieces and 2 nephews, 6 great nieces 2 great nephews and 1 great great niece 1 great great nephew, one God daughter, Maria Mancuso along with many cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Brown will be conducted on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 2 p.m. from Greater True Vine Church of God in Christ with her husband, Rev. King Brown and Rev. Morgan Green officiating.
