With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Billy "Buddy" Joe Poole, Sr., age 88, of Dallas, Georgia. Billy, affectionately known as Daddy, Pawpaw, and Buddy left this world and went into the arms of Jesus on January 1st 2025. His vibrant spirit and unyielding passion for life will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Born on August 26th, 1936 in Dallas, GA to the late Clarence Poole and Gordy Poole. Buddy embodied the essence of perseverance.

He was predeceased by his wife: the mother of his children, Barbara, who passed away in 2010, who he was with for over 50 years. He was also predeceased by his daughter Regina Harper and granddaughter Jennifer Gresham. Along with his brother Jack Poole and his sister Betty Kuykendall. His enduring love for family and friends remained steadfast throughout his life.

Buddy did upholstery for over 30 years in Powder Springs and Dallas Georgia. He loved watching the Braves. He also loved going to the beach, mountains, and going camping. Buddy always loved a good joke and cutting up. He had the best sense of humor. He loved going to dances and dancing the night away. His huge heart was shown to anyone who knew him and he never failed to be there for anyone in need. He also was a believer and loved the Lord. This gives our family peace and comfort in knowing he is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and reunited with all the other family members and his friends who went on to Heaven before.

We grieve his passing because we loved him so much. He is survived by his son Billy Poole (Tabitha) from Dallas, Ga. Grandchildren: Shawn Gresham, Damien Harper, and Ashley Zachmeyer. Great grandchildren: Ashleigh Gresham, Jamie Johnson, Leah Lee, Jay Gresham, and Adalee Zachmeyer. Great-Great Grandchildren: Silas Greene and Elijah Greene. Brother: CL Poole (Gayle). Along with many nieces and nephews.

Buddy will be remembered not only for his resilience and love for his family but also for his infectious laugh and the joy he brought to all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Bivins officiating. Interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.
