Mrs. Betty Jo Murphy, age 90, of Powder Springs passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021.

Mrs. Murphy was born on September 17, 1931 to the late Ernest Harmon Ellis and the late Azzie Leigh Henderson Ellis. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Clayborn Murphy.

Survivors include her two daughters, Joan T. Kimmerling and June Noriega (Gary); one sister, Ovilene Gibson; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Private Entombment will be held at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association.
