Mr. Arthur Ray Evans, age 73, of Whittier, NC passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

Mr. Evans, who was affectionately known as Ray, was born on June 6, 1948 in Atlanta, GA to the late Mr. Arthur M. Evans and the late Mrs. Lillie M. Durden Evans. Ray enjoyed watching Nascar and was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Falcons fan. He was a long-time evangelist of the gospel and had worked as a store manager for Winn Dixie for many years. In addition to his parents, Ray was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Mrs. Jeannie Evans who passed in 2015.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen Wright (Jimmy); two sons, Kenneth Evans (Traci) and Jeremy Evans; two sisters, Peggy Evans and Linda Stephens; brother, Danny Evans; four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 27th from 12:00pm until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
